Where possible specify wood plastic composites or recycled plastic boards. The appearance of these boards is now very close to that of the copied timbers, but these products are much lower maintenance and provide a critical use for recycled plastic. Recycling will only occur where humans find a use for recycled product. These products are a better product than the original timbers, and also serve to support plastics recycling.
